Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD)

Grant Goodwin, who was 30 and from Lanarkshire, is thought to have become the first person in the world to have died from a new variant of CJD.

It is like the human form of mad cow disease...

you act like you know what your talking about while at the same time you just called a PRION a VIRUS which is not even close and then you calle this disorder MAD COW DISEASE which is a completely different disease

This disease and mad cow disease is almost the same lol ? they act almost the same exept the mcd is mainly in cows and jcd is mainly in humans ? wtf ? mdc is based on prions eating away the brain prion is a mutant protein that fills up the space and when the space is gone it starts eating the brain and when that happens the brain cells obviosly die and then ppl start forgetting everything and on the last day of they're life they can't walk.

it just starts making vacuoles in the nerve cells, and people die within 1 or 6 months

mad cow disease and CJD arnt completly diferent, one was found on cows and the other in humans, but its the same problem with this prion :P
actually the first one was found on sheeps, it was called scrapie, it wont mean its completly diferent to the others 2 cause it has diferent names xP
they 3 are transmissible spongiform diseases

I know it doesn't eat the brain liturary it kills the brain cells
