@Gmoney30001 Actually there have been many cases seen in the usa. My family from Michigan has CJD in our family genetics. There is viral CJD which is passed through contamination, but there is a;lso familial cjd which is in your genetics and can be passed on generation to generation. It is a sick disease and not an easy one to have to go through i can tell you that from personal experiences. I am 24 and have seen 3 loved ones die from this disease.

I HOPE YOU EITHER KNEW THIS PATIENT PERSONALLY OR HAD PERMISSION BY FAMILY TO POST THIS !!!
otherwise you should not have a license to practice!!

@Gmoney30001 vCJD is caused by misfolded proteins called prions. humans can get this from eating infected cows that contain the disease. people say the usa does not contain these diseases because the government hides this kind of information. the government wants to protect their corporations, not us.

@violetgypsie Food supplements will never cure CJD or any prion disease. Stop spreading misinformation.

@Gmoney30001 Prions. These are misfolded proteins that misfold other proteins into prions, which continue the cycle until all the proteins in the brain are misfolded. It doesn't matter what you eat. You're body synthesizes it's own proteins after breaking down the food you eat. It's genetic. Whether you live impoverished or wealthy, this could just happen to you at any time, and it's impossible to predict, prevent, or cure.

@teresaj336 he died other day =[
I had a workmate die of this. She came to work complaining of problems with her vision, and that the eye doctor could find nothing wrong. Over the next few days she became very silly at work (I remember being concerned when she joked about driving to work blind). Finally, she came to work silly and off balance, and was sent home. Another work mate went to see her later and said she was disheveled and confused. She was put into hospice and died in about a month.

If you guys want to hear a basic synopsis of what's up with Prion diseases I have a video. Also if you're very interested you can read The Family That Couldnt Sleep, by D. T. Max, it's a very well done book, interesting and informative.
