  • what holds this together? is it fine coal dust or just coal slack?

    thanks windswept

  • It is a mixture of coal dust and a binder, probably brick making clay. The coal dust mix had probably been moistened at some stage before compression. After burning, a crumbly red/brown block is left over as waste.

  • THe mix can be sawdust and a small amount of cement power. Also this process uses alot of pressure. But it's crazy dangerous for man w/ shovel to have cigarette in mouth!!
