  • love Paul's expression when he sings "They shot my brother dead because he hated what was wrong"

  • RIP my brother Spc. Jonathan M. Curtis, age 24.

  • @1964scouser how dare you berate this person that served his country and left his family so we could have a better life. Who made you the all knowing judge of what is right and wrong?!

A soldier fighting for democracy to preserve the civil rights of his brothers and sisters has just as much place as a peaceful demonstrator for civil rights.

  • @TheBcurtis13 how dare you comparing some damn soldiere to a fighter for civil rights? dont think he was a freedom rider! he was shot because he DID what IS wrong!

  • this song makes me indescribable sad.

  • BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @luckylibbet1

There's a world of difference between dying to ensure civil rights and demanding that working people pay for your college loans and your ipods.

  • A civil rights worker or a soldier in South Korea, South Vietnam, Grenada, Kuwait or anywhere else in the world where people want to be free - there were brothers killed for that cause. This song is art to be interpreted by the listener and personalized for individual meaning. It was never to be frozen in time and forgotten.

  • @TheBcurtis13 May he rest in eternal peace.

  • Occupy Wall Street has brought back the art of demonstration. We're going to see a lot more protest music .

  • So young here, vanished times....

  • @BenBarfuss I can think of an example of an audience, today, wearing normal clothes, sitting quietly and listening attentively to beautiful music. It's Paul Simon singing one of his new songs in Boston in April 2011. Maybe the right music creates the right audience behavior. Search on YouTube for Questions For The Angels posted by Ellgee82.
