Andy McKee ist ein großartiger Musiker und ein virtuoser Gitarrist. Ich hatte das Glück ihn 2011 in Köln sehen und hören zu können und dieser eine Song geht mir seitdem nicht mehr aus dem Kopf. Die verschiedenen Artikulationen zusammen mit dem treibenden Triolen-Grrove.

Dann kam mir die Idee die Nummer mal auf nem Synth umzusetzen. Es folgten viele Stunden des Übens und der Sound-Bastelei. Tja.. und hier ist das Ergebnis.
Trotz kleiner Patzer präsentiere ich Euch meine Version von Hunter's Moon.

Was ihr hört, ist eine Live-Aufnahme.

Andy McKee is a great musician and virtuosic guitarist. I had the pleasure to see and hear him live in Cologne in 2011 and this one song stayed in my head. All these different articulations in combination with the triplet-groove.

Then I had the idea to arrange this song on synth. Well... here is the result.
Despite some small bloopers I present to you my version of Hunter's Moon.

What you hear is a Live-Performance.

Ich hab alles nach Gehör gespielt und mir auch Raum für eigene kleine Nuancen gelassen. Andy ist ein sehr inspirierender Musiker und ein echt netter Typ. Ich werd ihn auf jeden Fall auch wieder live sehen.

@CormacGuitar i agree, however i think the percussion-style sound wouldn't come across as it should, and would in the end probably sound like a different song

You're right. I challenged myself to capture a variety of different articulations to get a higher dynamic range. All those silent muted percussive sounds and slap things wouldn't be possible with a piano sound. I worked on a lot of different sounds and felt this one would fit the song best. Hunters Moon lives through its percussive feel in my opinion. But maybe I will do another Cover of an Andy McKee Song and try give it a different direction.
