I like to get my tea from http://hibiki-an.com It's direct from the grower in Japan.

  • Hi, it's chasen: cha from chacha and sen from San(ta)...chasen. Also, you should whisk it more and rapidly in the shape of an 'M'. I do chanoyu and this is how we do it in a tea ceremony. And you put too much water. For the 抹茶 to taste really good 100 ml should suffice. The quantity is what differs, usucha if it's thin tea and koicha if it's thick tea. The quantity of water doesn't differ. Try it! 頑張ってね。

  • @ingerasultau7 Thanks for the great info – upvote!

  • for the one who never had matcha, can you explain how it kinda tastes? :)

  • @getthepointx smooth, velvety, perhaps a little bitter. Full of life.

  • @kadavy Where do you buy your matcha?

  • @The2133 hibiki-an – you'll have to google it, since I can't put a URL in a comment.

  • Nice vid. Finally one for just personal use, not like I'm going to serve it to the freaking emperor of Japan

  • How do you feel throughout the day after you drink Matcha Green Tea compare to days where you don't drink it?

  • お湯入れすぎだよ...

  • @getthepointx It varies depending on the type (different types use different varieties of the tea plant from different Japanese provinces), but like kadavy said it generally has a delicate bitter taste. Unlike brewed green tea like Sencha, it doesn't get very bitter unless you put too much in. If you're not so much for bitter drinks, try making a Matcha Smoothie, they are positively amazing, like a dessert on their own :D

  • @sixfootfourwarrior If you worried about time you differently need to drink more tea :p

  • @kadavy Thanks!
