@moskiter Although you are not included in the Visa Waiver Program, you still could apply for a B2 tourist visa. Its the same thing but with a little bit more security checks and this kind of visa can be easily upgraded into a work visa. Instead of the VWP, which cant be upgraded!

US discriminates my country of Poland by not including us in Visa Waiver Program while other EU countries that are poorer than Poland are in it. There will come times that EU will impose visas on Americans and they will be begging for a visa because more and more immigrants from USA overstay in Europe and become illegal. Times change...
