.↘the play's the thing. Wherein I'll catch the conscience of the King.
Well, shouldn't need to explain much, other then a few things.. okay, the song was originally set for a werewolf scenario and or movie. I realize that, completely. Yet at the same time, if you put the lyrics in a context of a phrase, as if that is how they felt in comparison of a great rage and or 'curse', it makes sense. So, this is pretty much about Hamlet had a curse with the knowledge of knowing whom killed his father, and seeks revenge for it. Goes mad in the process, and those about him go mad as well. When he and the others die he pretty much views his past before going on to the afterlife, to the moments that 'if only' those once close could see precisely the beast he had become, and his logic of it all, even while they think madmen cannot think proper.

x.-..goodnight my sweet Prince, and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
Howl - Florence and the Machine

  • Brilliiant!!!!

  • That was pretty awesome, love the little flashback-ish thing at the end. I thought the lyrics fit even before I read your description.
