  • these trains can do these speeds but not in this video, that s curve would have it off

  • Yeah, this is certainly 150. Probably the users who didn't perceive this as 150, but 70 might have confused themselves with the illusion created by the zoom in conjugation with the angular velocity.

  • These machines are no joke they most certainly do run at 150 MPH they can almost blow you off your feet, please whoever denies this is completely crazy.

  • @inyourfacedouchebag It is going 150 mph though. and there are multiple warnings that both an automated sensor gives (the train approaching please remain behind yellow line system) and often the station master warns passengers more than once before the train is even a mile away :) also, I'm sorry if I sounded rude btw, I was just fed up that people don't believe something that is actually true :P :/

  • @trinityct theres no way there going to let a train blow through a stop at 150 MPH guy think about this i live in jersey and i kno the trains well they dont blow by stops on the line here and there one track off the stops but if you say so its going 150 MPH J O

  • For you "skeptics" who skipped math and algebra class, THIS IS 150 mph. Stop saying otherwise. How bout you ask ME. an AMTRAK ENGINEER in training, who DRIVES the Acela.

  • @JET997u This IS 150 mph. Go Look up "Amtrak Acela" on Wikipedia or Google and you'll see that they both say the same, 150.

  • @inyourfacedouchebag This IS 150 mph. Look up "Amtrak Acela" on Wikipedia or Google and you'll see that they both say the same, 150.

  • @rymorymorymo Using those calculations that train would be going 150.68 mph.

  • Math lesson: Acela is 663 ft long. At 150mph, it takes 3.01 seconds to pass by. In this video you see the nose reaches the fence post (black blob at the bottom of the frame) at 0:30, and passes it at about 0:33 (use a stopwatch if you're picky). If it were only doing 90mph, it would take 5 full seconds to pass. Stay in school, kids!
