Just a little test video using special effects like lightsaber, force lightning and throat cutting(+ some "300 slow motions"). None of us are good actors because we were only two guys there when we shot it, and one of us is a director and the other is a special fx designer. We also had to operate the camera.

That head chopping scene was legit dude. I'm wondering if that was green screen or not.

Yeah, I'm not satisfied with the lightning either, but think I found the reason to why it sux: daylight. make sure to record in dark (or darken the footage in AE BEFORE you go on with the litening!).

make sure your camera is "locked" on the tripod. then find your position in front it, and fall to the ground in two different shots: straight downwards(body), and one where you jump to the side (head). Have an image of the background as well.
Rotoscope your head in the baody-footage and replace it with the background. Rotoscope your head in the head-footage and paste it above the body-footage.

adjust them to fit together and add the litesaber flash.speed up der head-Teil and add some directional motion blur if necessary (use the motion blur switch anyway).
