Put out the fire on the trees. It's probably causing the horrible frame rate.

Btw, download the inventory editor. You don't need to add anything, but opening your inventory on it will prevent shenanigans like your lava-ey doom from stripping you of your stuff forever and never being able to re-mine it.

If you don't like that option, hitting Alt + F4 will close the client without saving, essentially allowing you to go back and re-mine the rescources should you lose them.
