This is the perfect coloratura voice. Diana Damrau does not sing this aria with the ease in the top register, as does Edita. Edita is FLAWLESS.

Ms Gruberova does not even fail where even the best singers fail: at 0:58 etc. and 2:00 etc.!
I've always thought Maria Callas would have been an ideal Queen of the Night - for her wonderful dark timbre and dramatic abilities, but Ms Gruberova makes it up.
Great technique, IMHO - she holds back her voice before the most difficult parts and does not belt out those high notes as even Ms Damrau, the new star, does (listen to her video)
