my siberian husky resource guards items and if we try and take it away she bites the shit outta me and even sometimes shell just freak out and bite me really hard she's 6 months old idk what to do we are trying the shock collar but it doesn't seem to be doing anything

Great video........ on 2nd rescue, first one was five had him until he was 13 gone 3/311 no hair, clean windows,,,,,,,, sad,,, rescued 2nd akita end of august who was left by a family tied to a bed no water or dood 60 lb now 85 I call the new dog Gideon by the old dogs name they look so much alike EINSTEIN. no breed like an akita

How did u stop the conflict ? My ebt is having this problem with toys our anything in the house he lashes out on are collie

@Berto55535 The dogs now get along good, but my friend still needs to control toys and other resources with both of them. I make it a habit to have low level toys out and keep the high value items for special times and turn it into training. Email me at egilbert@kc.rr.com with more details please.

Unfortunately this type of thinking perpetuates the Akita myth and lack of socialization and appropriate breeding with Akitas. Check out my blog on this topic on my blog. Akitas or other type of breeds in this way leads to breed bands and undersocialized dogs.

No, my friend didn't do anything to make Grom that paranoid. He's much better now and he's good with dogs being around his mom. Careful what you ask for if you reinforce this behavior without a protection trainer and be sure to up your liability insurance. Be careful with protection training any dog.
