@MultiWayneski I always figured it was a jesus thing since they are a christian band (not wanting to start a crazy argument, just saying) sleeping awake is like comparing life with jesus to life without. its like being free vs living in the matrix

@MultiWayneski well if he WAS refering to drugs thats what happens when your body shuts down while your still awake and start tripping see and hearing things that arent there.

@MultiWayneski Relevant example: The people in the Matrix are awake, but they do not realise that their raeality is one artificially created by machines. They are awake, but percieve only as much as a sleeping person dreaming. I doubt though that this song was written specifically for the The Matrix movie, even though it fits very well.
