Elder Charles Beck & His Congregation singing the old, favorite "I'm A Soldier." The credits mentioned that this is from a live service in 1957, but it sounds like it's from an earlier date to me. Either way, they're jamming! Listen to that piano! The lady who comes in midway sounds like Sis. Goldia Haynes, and my cousin confirmed that it is her.
These kind of services were standard inCOGIC back in day.

Elder Beck married my grandparents in 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pa.My grandfather was a pastor and after they would dismiss services on Sunday night, they would go and sit in on his radio program that he would broadcast.

Well, this is truly wonderful to hear this "Sound" of old, it is a sound that you don't hear anymore. It takes me back to a small town in Oklahoma, when the Saints seemingly sang and ministered with such power and conviction. Oh I long for those days, but we cannot live in the past. Thank you for sharing this work of spiritual art and power with us. Please, keep up the good work!
