@TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY Andy Scott's band also goes under the moniker of "Sweet" and they have recorded new material. Maybe Steve's version of the band will, who knows? They still haven't been going that long yet. A couple of years is a far cry from the 20+ years that Andy Scott's Sweet has been going for.

Very cool, wish these guys would tour the midwest.

@TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY The problem with Brian is he could never deliver vocally live even in his heyday, way too many drugs. Great band and great studio recordings but when Brian sang live it sounded like he had glass in is throat.

Now why isn't Steve singing his amazing solo part here? Can't do it anymore? That was my favourite part! I love his voice!!!
-
It's the songs, stupid.
-
@DNRvideos No, steve didn't do as much for the sweet, it was Andy who would be in the studio hours after the rest. The sweet would suck without Andy

Oof...how sad. Steve has not aged well. His bass playing is atrocious and his voice is finished. Does he really need money that badly? Wow.

steve was in the band before andy, he has every right to the name~
this video is a nice surprise
very good !!!!

Better than ever, not in a million years. Brian was and always will be Sweet and nobody can be as good as him. This is good, but nowhere near as good as the original.

Hmm not just Brian. Brian, Mike, Andy and Steve was and will always be Sweet. I guess Steve Priest's Sweet is as much The Sweet as Andy's The Sweet. I don't know. Andy's is amazing, and Steve's is pretty good too, but I guess nothing they're doing ever will be the same as the real Sweet. Personal I really like Andy's with Bruce, Steve Grant and Pete. But it was a outstanding experience to see Steve Priest on the stage. And he knows how to rock - what a night! GREAT show and performans/concert!!

Being honest, I kind of wish Steve hadn't called the band Sweet. Nothing wrong with singing the old Sweet songs, just call the band a different name and do some new material as well. It's all too easy to just call yourself Sweet and sing nothing but the old songs. Is that what true Sweet fans really want?

I do agree - completely! It would have been much better if Steve hadn't called the band Sweet. I do not know what real Sweet fans want - I do not know, if I'm one of them, I was not even born when they played in the 70's. But I loved them and I have been listening to them the last 21 years. And I don't think the real Sweet ever will be the real without Brian and Mike. But for all of you who only had seen Steve Priest play - or the old and 'real' Sweet - go and see Andy play!! He's GOOD!
