Wolli Creek Valley, inner south-west Sydney.
Sunday 22 November 2009.
At dusk, after a day in which temperatures pushed past 40 degrees Centigrade, grey-headed flying foxes (Pteropus poliocephalus) from the Turrella roost drink from the creek before heading out to forage.
Absolutely FABULOUS video! Thank you for taking the video! I absolutely love and adore this creature and to see it in it's own habitat is truely amazing!

Nice Vid. I live down the coast, but a couple of years ago I visited the park at Wolli Creek and saw the FF's as they ventured out.
Down here (Far South Coast) we seldom used to see them in any number, but past couple of years they've become far more numerous. This year we had them in droves while the Spotted Gum were flowering, and they hung about for several months

Great video!
It's nice to view from the comfort of home without the blazing heat or the mozzie bites!
I've posted it to my blog.

Thanks! What a great moment to catch. How fantastic that we still have places like this in Sydney to make this possible.

This was SO lovely to see. I grew up with Wolli Creek almost as an extension of our backyard. I live in Melbourne now and this brought back so many memories for me. More please!!!
