For everyday information, there is nothing as simple and quick as wikipedia. You are a moron if you believe every piece of information on there. Obvious vandalism is deleted, often within minutes, and what is left is an encyclopedia that is not controlled by a company run for a profit. Sounds good to me.

I agree with you. Wiki is controlled and it's indisputable that they currently have lies on there right now. Wiki is a good STARTER tool for researching a subject.... that I will admit, but using it as a one-stop information center is dangerous if you want to know the truth of everything. It's a great tool for hiding information and any conspiracy that certain groups wouldn't want you knowing about too.

Fact information has always been altered or lost in history. If this moron thinks that grabbing a book is better than Wiki, he is more of an idiot than those he thinks are idiots. A creationist wanted to prove to me that wiki was trash, he said he would write the truth on a page, but in less than 4 minutes his text was ripped apart and he was invited to participate in the discussion about the issue, there was a mile long discussion going on about the credibility of the info, at least they were honest enough to talk about the controversies to satisfy everyone.

If you want crap to to remain longer on wiki, place it when the Americans are asleep.

Really? It sounds like you're just bitter over one (or two ) article(s). There's no truth to any of your other arguments whatsoever. Wikipedia IS an encyclopaedia and not "any moron" can edit it, because the articles that are of most interest to "morons" are protected, and any vandalism gets reverted pretty quickly anywhere else. You get the benefits of all the experts all over the world writing about the things they know about, rather than whoever the publisher decides to hire.
