This is a helpful video. As a person who has had this disorder since elementary school I feel like I've missed alot of life. Mostly because while I've been living life physically, mentally I'm somewhere else. Through life, people have been quick to point out the symptoms (messy, disorganized, "flighty", lazy, etc.) but cannot give me a solution. So, I have to "fix" myself- by myself. First up, recognize I have a problem. Second, dont get so distracted that I (forget) I have a problem.
I constantly make lists, but constantly forget about them. I would love ideas on how to avoid that. Making a list to help remember to follow lists doesn't seem like it would help much. :p
"It's only a few minutes long." - A lie! Almost nine minutes. Know how many pauses that is?? :P
Nice idea, but I have a really hard time following lists, and then I usually misplace them. If I put them "somewhere safe," I can't remember where it is. Other times I just forget to look at them or forget they're there. I would have to add an extra "long term" list, because I will be afraid I'd forget about those long term goals too.
I felt like the video was directed at me personally. How could she know I was all of these things? Sounds great!
