o yea thursday was bad where we were too a funnel cloud happened! yea i know what you mean i used to live there. some of those storms are nasty!

This was on Thurday evening 8/7/08. I had to cut the video short because the temp dropped instantly and winds and rain hit really hard. The lake went from flat to 4 footers instantly. You have to respect storms on lake Erie. This was in Avon Lake. Also in Avon lake storms came in on Saturday night as you stated. I filmed some of that also from the pier.

this is nothing compared to the tornado of 1969. I never saw black clouds like that and I lived in Texas for ten years.

@bucknorm Ah Yes, I beleive that was the fourth of July 1969. Tornados swept through Ohio. I was at a parade in Fairlawn Ohio when they started rushing the parade with those massive black clouds!

I believe I actually drove through this storm, unfortunately. I was driving back from U.B. and this storm caught up with me and was fierce as heck! Blinding rain, high winds, lightning, and debris everywhere.

It blew in fast. I was there on my bike. The temperature dropped instantly, which is a sign to get the heck out! We shut the camera off, turned around and started heading home and WHAM! Heavy wind, rain, lightning....yes..I got soaked!
