Not in the same league as Roseanne, Goodman or Metcalf??
That's insane!
Estelle Parsons is a great actress, and if you take a look at the roles she's played outside of "Roseanne" you'll see how great she is.

I thought the character Beverly Lorraine Harris was was very annoying and very damaged! But I absolutely love the actress Estelle Parsons.

I love her! She's so blunt and honest. I don't care what anyone says, she deserved her award for BONNIE AND CLYDE. She may have been annoying, but she was marvelous -- and heartbreaking in her final scene, all bandaged up.

interesting comment/ observation..i on the other hand worshipped the character of "Bev" on so many levels..i thought she was the best and so over the top..she had some of the best lines...so dramatic..over the top and those facial expressions..

I LOVE the show "Roseanne", but I actually thought that Estelle Parsons wasn't as good, acting wise, as the other cast members. She didn't seem comfortable on TV... The show was so awesome because the actors were so low key and realistic, but Parsons, she seemed to really force the performance. In my opinion, she wasn't in the same league as Roseanne, John Goodman, or Laurie Metcalf, whom most of her scenes were with. Apparently Parsons thought she was great ;)
