On why it is illegal for Israelis to live in the occupied Palestinian territories
Article 49 of the IV Geneva Convention unequivocally prohibit the establishment of settlements:
The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.
Which means that even if there was a purchase of that house, settlers are prohibited by international law from purchasing the same or living there.
Why? To protect people under occupation from abuse.
