Microlight Homebuilt airplane

The MicroMoth is a homebuilt microlight aircraft built in 1991 by Bjørn Furuheim. The microlight is self designed and homebuilt. Key features are very good manouverability and moderate cruise perfomance. This video shows the plane after the first 10 hours of test flying. I later replaced the undercarriage with a redesigned and sturdier one, which was equipped with hydraulic brakes. Made stopping much easier.

How did you feel during the first flight ?

@dtripakis Good question: I started out doing fast taxing and progressing with small hops. I had lots of space so I could progress with longer and longer flights at low level until I was confident the airplane flew well. So when I climbed out of ground effect and went higher than I wanted to fall, I knew the airplane would behave well. It felt more like an anti-climax since there were no snags. It was somehow a feeling of relief, all that work turned into a plane that returned me safely to earth
