Resin Jewelry Tutorial with John W. Golden Part 2

I work at a surf shop, can I use epoxy resin like solar res? That would be very easy since it's already mixed and what not. Anyone know?

i would say yes...but the only way to know it to try...get some 'mould release' to make sure it pops out for you...

There is a book that is great called The Art of Resin. It covers everything from embedments to types of molds, and cleaning up your pieces. I use nail files mostly, but in the book it explains how you should file your peices under water, I guess to keep the resin from heating up and causing a white ring where it was filed. Anyway, check out that book, it's about $22 and I got mine at Hobby Lobby. Cheers!
