Easy to follow taping technique for preventing lateral ankle sprains.
Different techniques can also be used individually: stirrup, Fig. 8 or heel lock (not shown in this video - watch this space).
Taping used incl. Underwrap, Hypafix 5cm (anchors), Leukotape 38mm (stirrups) and 50mm Tensoplast (fig 8).
Can also use Leukotape (zinc oxide) for Fig.8 for increased restriction of inversion.
Always check person not allergic to tape.
Taping should alleviate symptoms and not aggravate them.

  • If this was a player in an actual game, you might as well say they wouldn't be able to play with how long this is taking. It should never take this long for something so simple. Athletes need care quickly

  • I used to have my ankles wrapped when I played college football. I could walk and run ok but not as fast. I played O-line so this wasn't a big deal.
