  • If we want to significantly reduce the debt we must get serious--

WE SHOULD RAISE THE MAXIMUM MARGINAL TAX RATE ON THE RICH TO 91% -- WHERE IT WAS UNDER REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT EISENHOWER

Applicable Income level for the 91% rate should be raiised fromn $200k to $2 MILLION so it only applies to the top 1%

If they cant live on $2 MILLION DOLLARS per year -- GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY COUNTRY!

  • I nOminate unions. They take your money and use it to lobby just like corps do. Then they wrangle american industry so badly that your jobs are shipped to Mexico and china. All under the guise of sticking up for workers :((((

  • Mitt Romney is one, Gingrich is another, probably the worst part of the 1%

  • @TheMCBADGER There's an annual ranking at DoingBusinessDOTorg that shows the overall placement and subcategories. America scores very highly in all but "Paying Taxes" - it's ranked 72nd. I don't fully understand the methodology yet but have a look yourself.

  • @bannor99 just because the US is 4th or 5th in business doesnt not mean that it is the 4th easiest country to do business in

  • @TheMCBADGER The 2012 World Business rankings are out. Indonesia is #1 for the 6th straight year; US is 4th or 5th. China has cheap labor; kept their competitive edge over Asian competitors by currency manipulation. Doing business in China is on their terms and your tech or IP stolen. Ask Cisco what they think about Huawei's rise; how many places could have 22 complete "Appel Stoers" where the workers thought their boss was Steve Jobs?

  • @bannor99 hahahaha yeah it is illegal. and they do it. i would rather go with the union that represents all grocery store workers than a funded campaign. you think that just because TYT doesnt report about union lobbying it doesnt happen. and as for your last point, dont make me laugh..china 10x as regulated??not in manufacturing my friend

    unions are the biggest extortionists.

  • @TheMCBADGER Not sure there's a double standard. Large corporations have way more clout than unions, are able to do more backroom dealing and have more to offer. Unions can offer votes and graft - which is illegal; corporations can offer campaign contribs, and high-paying jobs after leaving office. Plus, I think the whole "hurt US business" has been grossly oversold as America is the 4th EASIEST country in the world to do business in (China, Brazil are 10x more regulated)

  • @bannor99 oh...well thanks for correcting me. but it is still painfully obvious that there is a double standard. unions lobby ALL the time and then libs get on corps' case for it. the only difference is corps earn the money and unions jack it from their members.

i seriously doubt that unions dont hurt US business to some degree. while justifying themselves with a problem that can be solved through laws and not extortion

  • @TheMCBADGER I recall that $75 being thrown around yrs ago. Having known people who worked on assembly lines, it didn't seem realistic so I checked it out back then, If you look it up on FactCheck, you'll find a full explanation in a Dec '08 article. Don't forget to thank the Heritage Foundation for their "facts" and that "HS diploma guy" can only dream of $75/hr.

  • @R4t10n4L ooo my friend they are definitely a problem. the united auto workers union has crippled the US auto industry. a guy working in a car manufacturing plant in the US who has not much better than a HS diploma is payed about $75 dollars including benefits....for bolting a part onto an engine for 8hours a day....yeah and you wonder why fords are made in canada and mexico. meanwhile foreign companies like Toyota are not bound by this regulation and beat out american auto manufacturers-1ex.

  • @TheMCBADGER Unions aren't perfect but they aren't the problem and even when they've made serious concessions, jobs have been cut or relocated. You're angry at the wrong people.
