Pomona PD: Two Arrested for Murder

Mr. Jessie Diaz was shot and killed on Pearl Street east of Park Avenue on Saturday, 10/11/08 at 0339 hours. PPD investigators launched an intensive investigation into the murder and managed to identify a number of persons of interest.

On 10/12/08 a search warrant was served in Pomona in connection with the homicide. A number of subjects were detained and ultimately Juan Carlos Arredondo and Delia Mora were identified as suspects in the homicide. Arredondo and Mora were taken into custody without incident and booked at PCJ for their complicity in the crime.

Investigators presented the case the the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and obtained criminal filings on Arredondo and Mora for 187(a) PC.

Although arrests have been made and the suspects are pending criminal prosecution, investigators are still seeking the public's assistance. Anyone with information concerning the murder is asked to call the Pomona Police Department tip line at (909) 620-2085.
