dude, you are like out of breath the entire time

just put ur ipod into disk mode, backup your music with some kind of music ripping software e.g winamp, ephpod etc, and then use itunes to restore it.

i installed rockbox a month ago. now my ipod firmware is messed up making my ipod unusable. warning install at your own risk.

I wasn't able to turn it on anymore. But the problem is fixed now, kept pressing all buttons for like an hour and then some weird screen popped up. It had a reset option and when i pressed it rockbox appeared. Did delete it right away tho, because of the problems it gave me. Thanks for your help!

Thats weird. You could try n restore it in itunes (if you have your music library backed up), otherwise im not sure what to do. If you wanna get into the normal ipod firmware you could put the hold switch on as you start the ipod.

Ive only been able to start up my Ipod twice, since I installed rockbox yesterday. I did this with just pressing some buttons for a while, now I cant even get my Ipod on anymore. And yes, if you install rockbox, it should always start up in rockbox.

does it always start into rockbox?
how did you get that boot menu that lets you choose the OS in the beginning?

Loader 2.4 was installed with the ipod linux installer. This was the easiest way to install it as other methods require tedious work in linux that sometimes doesnt work right.
