  • I'm assuming this comes from the CD "Bach and Handel" which BTW is great. I'm a big Dessay fan and only became aware of Deshayes through this CD and the You Tube thing covering rehearsal and/or recording. Deshayes is equal to Dessay IMHO in this recording and has a brilliant career ahead of her. She is, of course, a mezzo and Dessay is not, but there are other differences in ways that aren't differences in quality, but differences in style. I wont say Dessay is better, but to me more interestin
