Allan Hughes of Anvil Pottery, Llanrhaeadr, Denbigh, Wales shows how to make a traditional salt pig, or salt dolly as they are called in North Wales. The video is shot by Andrew Fielding an archaeologist who has been working to restore a derelict open pan salt works in Northwich, Cheshire. See www.anvilpottery.co.uk and www.aandafielding.uwclub.net. Andrew and Allan have also been salt glazing pots with salt they have made themselves. Anvil Pottery also has a Facebook page.
