Certainly Earl Anthony was nothing short of spectacular. So his praise was legitimate? Well, maybe you remember the race between Roth and Anthony to reach the million dollar mark. Who made certain Anthony was the 1st lefty in each squad of the deciding tournament? PDW's dad.

@20alphabet Um, the "high armswing, great fundamentals" commentator is Earl Anthony, who many consider the greatest bowler of all time. PBA titles that Earl Anthony and Pete Weber won: 43 for Earl, 35 for Pete. PBA titles that Billy Welu and Barry Asher won: 4 for Billy, 10 for Barry. I'm not taking anything away from Barry Asher, but I would take Earl Anthony's word for what a "bowler" looks like or Billy's, especially given Pete's accomplishments.

"...high armswing, great fundamentals...". Who was this commentator? Not a bowler, is my guess. Now go listen to Billy Welu's take during the 1970 Tournament of Champions about Barry Asher. That's a bowler.
