@ThePaintermanful , jays imitate the red shouldered hawk call, I am 99.9 percent sure that is what you heard, the only other option would be that someone illegally released a red shouldered hawk in Europe.

Saw one of these just today, and an osprey. Hearing the call was pretty cool, though playing this video just now thoroughly spooked my rabbit, who now seems to think my laptop is full of doom. Note to self - headphones..

One of these got up from a roadkill and flew at my car yelling at me day before yesterday! I about freaked but then s/he caught an updraft and was boosted out of the way. Whew.
