The Twinwoods Mechanical Organ Festival is a weekend event held at the historic Twinwoods Airfield near Bedford (UK), also home of the Glenn Miller Museum. Organised by Bob West, the Twinwoods Arena comes alive to the sound of street and fairground organs during the festival, which also features crafts and other exhibits, and marks the closure of events at Twinwoods for the winter.

Here we have Ray Bryant's "Charlotte Rose" 69-note Dean Fair Organ playing "Blaze Away" March arranged by Alan Roberts (pictured!).

Photos from the festival, together with lots of information regarding mechanical organs in general can be found on the independent Mechanical Organ Discussion Forum, a free to join internet forum for Street, Fairground and Dance Organ enthusiasts worldwide... http://www.fairgroundorgan.com/forum (specific topic here: http://organ.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?p=5339)

More videos from this superb event are on my channel, and don't forget next year's organ festival on 11th and 12th October 2008.

  • Bravo.

  • Sorry-Karl King is listed as the writer of "Blaze Away" on my Decap MIDI list---but the more I think about it---the more I do not think this is correct. I do not wish to take credit from Abe H. or who ever wrote this great piece of music. Can anyone clear this issue up for me ?? Thanks-Jim

  • I think if you check it out, "Blaze Away" was writen by Karl King---not Abe Holtzmann. Jim
