She was showboatin", poor Kim everyone hates her for being herself when the wish that is was them who was somebody at somepoint of their lives... you see a lot but are capable of pointing that high powered persception at yourself, then tell me what you see...

how easy it is to be critic rather than an artist. Kim Zmeskal is one of the greatest all-time gymnasts for good reason.
i never paid much attention to gymnastics until i saw THIS routine!
how exactly did she "compromise" the sport? to even say such a thing is the height of arrogance AND ignorance!

This routine, as far as I can tell, has choreography. It may not be the most graceful I have ever seen, but it is certainly very energetic unlike Onodi.
lets put it this way. you hate on kim, you hate on shawn. that pretty much sums it up cuz there the same kindof gymnasts.

@hjaidar I agree with you. To say that Kim Zmeskal damaged the sport of gymnastics in any way is ridiculous. She certainly was never an elegant gymnast and not as classical a dancer as the Soviets, Onodi or Shannon Miller. But this girl was such a performer. Her style was athletic and energetic and she always had great choreography that maximized it. Let's not take anything away from her. She was the first American to ever win a world all-around title and that was no fluke.
