20 Cities in Israel dimmed their lights in honor of Earth hour for 2011. In the City of Eilat, on the Red Sea, the Hilton Queen of Sheba resort, inaugurated a new wind turbine, the Wind Tulip for Earth hour. So when the city lights were dimmed the Wind Tulip flew into commission. The Wind Tulip is a vertical axis wind turbine that is superior in performance than other turbines in its class and it is also beautiful.

  • @noamvasl should probably keep it on the ground since it might tear the roof off. lol

  • looks impressive. but it would have been nice to see all the lights out in Eilat, with the exception of the Hilton (being run on electricity provided by the Tulip).

  • It's very beautiful

  • wow love the speed i would love one like that on my roof,
