This great song was written by Blossom Dearie. Irene sings it better than anything ("Better Than Anything" is the name of one of Irene's albums). Irene died very young unfortunately. One of her biggest fans was Carmen McRaw who wrote the liner notes for this album. Her unaffected simple and tasteful style makes her a must, as Carmen said, for anyone who loves beauty. Irene was certainly incredibly talented. I love this song. Irene also had such taste. Love her legacy of music.

Yes, better than anything. She is so original and pure, especially in today's music. Yes, if someone loves beauty, must listen to her.
