2.5 kids is an expression, its the average number of kids middle class families have, in America at least. Most families have either 2 or 3 children. Maybe it more of an American saying. When I have kids I'm definitely getting a Volvo.

i bought one of these 6m ago after testing the Discovery. I've spent £2500 on it - brakes, broken shocks, electrics problem (the hifi doesn't work now), broken alternator, faulty starter motor, the key still doesn't work 100% of the time - both keys have broken their retractable spring, there is a clunking from the rear axle, the petrol tank leaks. OK, 90,000 miles (I had a full Volvo service with timing belt changed) so as you can see - not impressed. Plasticky trim, poorly screwed together.

sean222007: yeah... clearly, if I had to make a choice between a luxury brand and a subaru, I would choose a subaru! It comes with so many perks! For example, a disgusting resale value! And a disgusting front end too!
