Thank you musicsavage! Passion it's undoubtly the right word to describe this music... Albeit at moments it sounds a bit anguish it it after all about love! Mahler's lover for Alma... And love can of course be anguish too...

No double bass?

The audio quality of this recording is in fact not very good, I'm sorry for that. But albeit the orchestra was not very big I can assure you the basses were there!!! Anyway the music is so marvellous that I think it overcomes the imprecision...
