Combined Sewer Overflow on the Allegheny River

Do you have any idea what flows into our water during most rain storms? Three Rivers Waterkeeper recently visited a Combined Sewer Overflow outfall to document raw sewage discharging directly into the Allegheny River.

I've always knew our rivers in PGH were dirty, but I'd been in denial of the fact that raw sewage goes into them. Really nasty. And yet I see people swimming in the Mon when I go to Sandcastle. Sick
