Sian Richards introduces this series capturing the sights, sounds and flavours of Asia. Quieter than Bali, Lombok is a secret hideaway that remains virtually unexplored by tourists. Those that do stumble upon this paradise are met with pristine beaches and a formidable volcano, Mt Rinjani. In Lombok, we harvest our own water spinach to make Pelecing Kang kung - a traditional salad tossed with coconut and head out to sea to dive for pearls before ending the day cooking up Daging Ayem - braised beef with coconut milk.
