Sephiroth was pure evil, period, he was never "good."

Cloud and Vincent were also experimented on, turned into freaks, and they could have SHARED Sephiroth's power, joined with him, but they didn't. Sephiroth did what he did, because, according to the game's writers, that is what he had in him to do.

The character was evil, end of discussion.

dude, also, the damage one evil person can do is just unreal; sometimes whole generations, skipping a generation, will suffer as a result of the acts of one bad person, another thing that characterizes evil people is that they ENJOY injustice. They know full well something is unfair, and they take twisted, perverse pleasure in agravating or frustrating someone.

Absolutely they deserve to be impaled on dull stakes to be given a taste of what they give others.
