Just goes to show what a bunch of idiots sponsor this tripe, the council rejected this plan two weeks ago and they still have this up and running

This whole masterplan idea is a farce, it is a load of property developers on the Chamber of Commerce, with ties to the council out to make some quick and easy money. Carrick does need development, but it should start from the town centre of Market place, north street, and West street. Instead of revitalising this area we have let two taxi companies start depoits. Carrick cabs now takes up both sides of the street all double yellow lines and I am sure Mahoods on North street will soon do the sam

Making Marine Highway smaller is the worst idea of all time, if you have driven from Belfast too Carrick when the roads are busy youve probably been stuck at the bottleneck at jordanstown that tails back to the motorway. After this bottleneck where it goes from one lane into two again, your wanting to have another bottle neck at the other end of the Dual carrageway from Greenisland to Carrick? If anything I would say this will force more people to leave Carrick than bring more in.

The people behind this masterplan whom have been hired by either the council or the chamber of commerce is a company called the paul hogarth company. check out there web site and make up yior own mind weather the council and chamber doesnt have there own agenda

How constructive can I be lets have a public debate on the issues, lets have your set it up with the council and press and game on. Up for it /

Why are you so opposed to a public discussion of your master plan. If there is resonable plans here for improvment great, however I will not support a bunch of property developers lining there own pockets. If the chamber is so transparent why have they blocked my ability to post under my original screen name? If you want something constructive why not arrange a public forum about the master plan and actualy invite the public, not just the council, and members of the chamber of commerce.
