I just bought my first saw and I was wondering: when I pull the bow across "sweet spot" on the saw I get this high-pitched screeching noise before I get the soft resonance. Is this normal? Or am I just doing it wrong? It's hard to tell in the videos :) Thank you! Your tutorial was very helpful!

Hey! I'm from argentina (that's why my english may be not very good). I've recently (today, exactly) bought an 65cm saw for playing. I have no idea how to play it, so I expect your tutorial can help me. I havent bought my bow yet, so I'm just practicing with my nails. I'm finding it kinda hard to bend, I hope it's my technique, and not the saw itself

Just bought a saw myself, same make, I chose the 30" saw and it should be arriving in the next few days, was wondering if you could tell me more, or make a video, about playing the saw with a Mallet, it's something I see frequently mentioned, but am unsure of, will any mallet do? or is it just something percussive to hit it with?

@TheReverendPanic Hello! I have played the saw with a mallet before, yes, but I don't actually own one as Im more of a bow fan to be honest! A mallet is literally a stick with a rubber end, that you use to hit the saw where you would normally bow for a slightly more percussive sound. Good luck! xo
