This is part of my mission to go back and perform some of my older solo music for you guys. "Too Many Arrows" is the first song I wrote completely on my own.

Isn't it amusing what can happen when you're bored to pieces?
The strangest things come out when all your stress releases
Everyone is going crazy just trying to figure it out
But I'm sitting here hiding my grin while they're all freaking out

Now I've got the feeling I'm part of something bigger
One big family with too many arrows
I'm a dot smack in the middle of such a big mess
And I don't care cause I love it

I bet it took a lot of courage to put all of that out there
I for one am glad you did but I'll admit I'm a little scared
I think that we all realize this could be a huge disaster
With confessions left and right let's hope it happens faster

Okay, I would expect this be a polished version of an early song. I'm totally okay with the cryptic lyrics because they provide some cerebral interest. I feel smarter just listening to you! However, The wheels fell off during the last verse and you really skidded across that last line. I like the fact you take risks and put yourself out there. The least your viewers can do is be honest--you're too talented for rubbish!

Alright, I'll take it. But I've never been one to post completely perfect runthroughs of songs. It's not realistic and I play live often enough for the people who come out to see me to know that my charm is not in my ability to duplicate the recordings exactly but to screw up in the middle and laugh at myself. I may be talented, but I'm also human.

It's mainly the last line: "I'm okay with that"

I'm not convinced that you're really okay with that!

You're a tremendously good sport about it all. That's part of your charm that makes you interesting. I know you're just playing around and your fans appreciate it.

If you're wondering, I wasn't okay with it. The event that inspired this song was followed by eight months of heartbreak. So it's probably good that you weren't convinced because I didn't want you to be.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't really understand what the arrows and dots are supposed to mean... I'm confuzzled!

This song reminds me of the book "it's kind of a funny story" because the kid in it calls his problems his 'tentacles' and when you said 'he's one of my arrows' it just reminded me of it. I liked the song immensly.
