Yes - it isn't just spinning, it is the opponent being grabbed and spun around to twist/break the neck and take them to the floor.....

I'm not JKS but have met and trained with Sensei Asai before his passing (also when he was still in the JKA). You can see his style in these kata you are posting. He always had a very fluid, "motion filled" style.

Alot of spinning but I like it, the techniques are def shotokan but i dont know any of these i just know the tradtional 26

This katas was created by Tetsuhiko Asai, 9º Dan and chief instructor of JKS (Japan Karate-do Shotorenmei), one of the most important teachers.
