Fifa 10 demo: Strange Free Kick

It's strange for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's my first ever free kick goal in Fifa 10. But then it also isn't, because it was actually an auto free kick taken by the AI due to my taking too long. You can see the power bar charge up from my attempt to do a low driven shot below the wall, but I pressed the button after the AI started to take the free kick. Much to my surprise, it went in anyway despite being quite unlike any free kick I'd seen before in Fifa. The player does an animation similar to that of a lob shot, and the ball goes in with precision but not quickly. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the yellow cross marker on the ground behind the goal, which is when I realised that it wasn't actually a shot at all, but a 'long pass' which went in. So there you have it, my first free kick in Fifa 10 wasn't actually scored by me and it wasn't actually a shot. Now that's what I call Jammy!

I hate the ball gravity of Fifa10 its just unreal!!

that's definitely a pass that's gone in.

a) The marker behind the goal shows the net to be almost an obstacle that stops the pass.

b) The animation may be that of a chip shot, but if you watch the way the ball travels, it has the speed and drift of a pass.
