I first heard Cheap Thrills when I got to Vietnam. It was on a reel to reel tape deck. Her blues, rock and roll, and pain come thru clearly. Enjoy her as I did and do.

To 2rainbowed: Right on. In fact, she was the first female superstar. Still The Best as far as I an concerned. She was very brilliant, very sensitive and very misunderstood. Will never forget her. Rock's best singer, though there have been other greats, for sure. Peace.

Thanks. You know, although she spoke like Mae West at times, and carried herself like a a two ton Mama out there, esp. on stage, she only weighed about 120 lbs. and was very vulnerable inside-- consider, she died at 27- we are seeing a woman/girl performing at 25 or so.. and the 1st Female Rock Star ever.
