@hammerogod Bob, we can agree on!
-
The Video (the 2nd one you sent me) ... /watch?v=qYp_pBZ3GwU is what I was looking for.
Convincing.
Tornado, classic in every way.
My bad.
'Nuff said.
Want a Cookie?
-
OK ... /watch?v=G6jVTm72zLw was far more convincing.
I wish someone had panned the camera up so that the wind structures closer to the cloud base were displayed more clearly.
It WAS a Tornado, possibly on it's way to becoming even stronger.
Probably near EF-2 at the point where it starts to become obscured by debris and the airborne dirt caused by the inflow winds.
I won't call it a "Landspout" again.
I will call it "Bob".
-
@hammerogod Provided the information on the video is correct, I can say, conclusively, that this is not a landspout, and is a full tornado. S/He gives the date and location of the event in the video.
This is the video with sound. watch?v=G6jVTm72zLw
Same event, different crew, better views of the clouds. watch?v=qYp_pBZ3GwU. These are all videos from f5hunter com and they have the full life cycle of the funnel, including strong cloud rotation, on their site.
Probably EF2 ish strenght.

(yep, some more)
Without a full set of data provided by calibrated and reliable radars, anemometers, hygrometer and barometers NOBODY (including you ) can provide ANYTHING beyond an educated guess as to what was on that video.
I am enjoying my Cookie
-
(here is that more I promised).
Go ask Biggerstaff, Bluestein, Wurman, Droegemeier, Fiedler, Shapiro, Straka, Leslie, Morrissey, Postawko, Beasley. Lamb, Richmond, Chilson, Zhang or Xue what the fucking thing was and get back to me.
In the mean time I will call it a Landspout and eat a Cookie.
(still more coming)
-
Well, we have come full circle.
One moron (not you) told me there was no such thing as a Landspout.
Another moron (not you) told me that my comment about Dust Devils was "Retarded".
Now you come along and try to give me a Meteorology lesson.
Skip it M'man.
I comment on ONE event.
I comment on the event depicted in THIS video, and only as it crossed the road.
I based my comment ONLY on the limited data in the video.

@hammerogod Again, no. A landspout is a very specific type of event. Dust devils are landspouts as they are not related to super cells with mid level mesocylonic rotation. The Moore, Ok tornado is not a landspout because it did have that rotation.
Damage done, and speed of winds are irrelevant. EF3 Damage is not a "weak tornado," yet some landspouts get that strong.
One final time, landspouts are related to rotation in the clouds, and nothing else.
Landspout.
I have seen a few.
That's what they look like.
I have also seen Dust Devils with at least the wind speed of whatever that is.
The airborne debris is the giveaway.
Not enough debris for that thing to have winds above 50mph.
Yeah..it'll make a mess but it's barely within what the Fujita scale would catagorize as a Tornado.

@hammerogod You sir, are retarded. Did you not see the 20ft trees flying around 300 metres into the sky?
