Disgusting.... you dont know japanese culture, they are very disciplined unlike americans who only know how to act like some big guy. Just look at the Japanese Tsunami... the japanese people really got my admiration, pulling themselves together and getting back to work... they didn't blame anyone. Such resilience is the beauty of japanese culture... I am Chinese, and they won me over more than how Americans behave..

youve got to also remember that theres a high suicide rate there, and these people going through self hatred may need a day off, so they can get help, or at least find a way to help make themselves feel better.

In Finland you can get paid leave from work if you "have" something we call 'työväsymys' which is basically being tired of work. It obviously isn't an ilness but yeah.. just throwing that out there.

I...er...

I don't agree with what he says...I don't think it should be considered "weak sauce" to want to take a break from work/life because you've been heart broken. Some people have mutual break ups...and some people have really horrible, HORRIBLE break ups.

I think it WOULD be best to just let people take a short break so they can sort out their feelings, cause if you force them to work they're just gonna be a sad wreck and...not very fun to have around. Odds are it won't end well...

Americans are very fortunate because they live in a big country and land for housing and skyscrapers is never really a problem for them. And that wideness also makes them a bit careless, laidback, broad on perspectives and also, generous about many things.
