Rare ITV Schools opt-out from the Westward area (Later replaced by TSW). Watch out for the Yellow telecine version of the 1969 clock! This is staying put from now on! No more moving around because of a copyright claim!
@RobinCarmody On the info we've got, we may never know for sure. This clip must definitely be Spring 1978, but as I've said the music could have been generated locally in that first junction and not the standard ones for that term, so both clips may be Spring 1978.
OK, scrap what I said below - Romeo and Juliet was shown in Spring 1978, after The Land - so this has to be Spring 1978. Where this leaves our dating of the clip from RAX118G, featuring It's More Life and Seeing and Doing I'm not sure, unless Westward are playing their own music in the first junction here. The caption after The English Programme is part of a 9-minute junction before My World: Real Life.
I like the way the telecine clock bounces around, its movement only highlighted by the separately-superimposed caption. That Westward caption is quite stylish, but it looks like the "Independent Television" line was added later , probably at the behest of someone higher up!
The programme finishing is The Land, and The English Programme only followed The Land in Autumn 1977 and Spring 1978. The music here is different to that in a recent clip we're pretty sure is Spring 1978, so this appears to be from Autumn 1977, on a Monday at 10.29-10.31. There is a chance that Westward are playing their own music, which wouldn't completely rule out Spring 1978, however I've seen other footage of these tracks used together in a network junction, so Autumn 1977 looks promising.
I did O Level English and we studied Romeo and Juliet for my exam in 1977 so I would say Spring 77.

@CaptainSiCo the only other term that It's More Life/Seeing and Doing junction could possibly be from is Spring 1977.
