I like to lightly shake after adding the rum. This gets the rum mixed in with the mint-lime-sugar combo. Make sure you lightly shake, otherwise you will break your mint into small pieces. Top of with soda and stir.
I like to make mine with a 1/4 lime rather than a whole. Lime seems to over power the mint.

Hey wallace, nice video but here's a few things you should try the next time you make a mojito. I'm not bragging or being arrogant but I am in upscale bartending a I make quite a few of these for my poser guests. Your proportions of the lime, mint and sugar syrup are good however when you add the lime wedges, you should Squeeze them into the glass instead of just dropping them in. This will guarantee that you get all the lime juice in that you might miss when muddling them.

Take it from a mojito lover like me; yes, keep the rum low like he did, but dish the traditional club-soda originally used in Havana during the drink's creation in the 40&50s and replace it with 7up. Give it a try, I definitely prefer it with 7up.

Ok, I have to try that. I started buying my mint in packs from supermarkets, and it isn't good... with really fresh mint you only have to muddle it a bit and it tastes great.

I want the 5 minutes that this sucked away from my life back. Its not hard to burn a mediocre video such as this. One feels that more time in South Beach Miami would have given it... life.
